Habitat for Humanity seeks to eliminate poverty housing from the world and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action.
URI Habitat builds with South County Habitat and volunteers at the Habitat ReStore. No experience is necessary to participate.
Function of Campus Chapter:
1. Educating the chapter members, campus and local community about the work and mission of Habitat for Humanity.
2. Advocating on behalf of people in need of decent shelter and for an end to poverty housing and homelessness.
3. Building and rehabilitating houses in partnership with the local Habitat for Humanity affiliates.
4. Raising funds for the work of Habitat for Humanity.

Our first meeting is tomorrow night at 6 p.m. in the Memorial Union, room 308 so make sure you know your upcoming schedule so you can sign up for the assignments and builds we have coming up!
We are very excited for a new year and all the upcoming projects with Habitat. We will have tons of builds and activities for the year so get ready! First night tonight will be a blast and a great opportunity to have new members. See everyone soon and welcome to the new school year!
